Our entire staff are uniquely prepared to assist you with your surgery whether you are traveling from another country or another state in the U.S. From our ability to conduct your consultation online, to our concierge services in luxurious accommodations and transportation, Physicians Hair Restoration is uniquely positioned to accommodate our travel-in clients.
Additionally, because Charlotte is a newer international destination, we are typically able to offer our patients a pricing structure that is more competitive than surgical practices in traditional international destinations such as New York and Los Angeles with no difference in luxury or convenience. Our procedures are all performed in our AAAHC-accredited surgical facility with the attention to detail and care that has allowed us to establish the reputation we enjoy today.
Thanks to a partnership with Ballantyne Resort—a four star, four diamond Luxury Collection Resort—conveniently located near Physicians Hair Restoration, patients who travel from out of town can simply relax and focus on treatment and healing, without ever having to worry about making accommodation plans. Additionally, Charlotte is home to a number of other luxurious accommodations including the Ritz Carlton, Omni, and Westin hotels. Our concierge can assist you in making reservations at any of these hotels as part of your travel package.

Online Consultation—For those who are looking for a cost-effective way to speak with us and determine what options The Refine Institute can provide for them. No matter if you decide to schedule an in-person consultation or chat via the web, we will assess if you are a good candidate for the procedure you desire. After your personal consultation you will be contacted by our Patient Coordinator and advised of the assessment and, when applicable, all fees for surgery and related expenses. We will also suggest hotel and/or post-operative care accommodations, as well as discuss your proposed length of stay in Charlotte.
Once you have determined that you wish to proceed with the proposed procedure, the scheduling process begins. Our Patient Coordinator will offer available dates for your procedure. A deposit (payable by credit card or CareCredit®) will be required to secure dates, and final payment will be collected at the pre-operative visit. For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards. If you wish, our Patient Coordinator can assist you in establishing an account with CareCredit®, the most trusted name in patient financing for cosmetic procedures. Our concierge can also assist you in making arrangements for your lodging and transportation from the airport.
Typically fly-in patients should plan on staying in Charlotte for approximately 7-10 days. The Refine Institute is located just 15 minutes from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Direct flights are available from most international hubs and major U.S. cities. Our car service will pick you up from the airport, and the first day will be spent in our office covering physical examination, pre- and post-operative instruction, and the review and signing of all consents. (You will be able to download these consent forms from our website in advance so that you may review these prior to your visit and thus be fully prepared). We allow two hours for this visit so that all your questions can be answered.
Depending on the procedure performed, this length of stay may be adjusted; however, it is important to allow for the appropriate time to ensure a healthy and safe recovery. We want your trip home to be a pleasant one, and that means following all of our guidelines. Your post-op visits will be concentrated into the required length-of-stay. In the event that you may feel a need for medical assistance after returning home, we are available to refer you to a local physician for check-ups. Your health and well-being are always our first priority.
